Los Cristianos
From your flat in the south of Tenerife a world of experiences for all tastes opens up, perfect for travelling with the family. Here are a few suggestions:
- Beach paradise. Throughout the south you have some of the most beautiful beaches on the Atlantic. Visit them in Costa Adeje, La Playa de las Américas or Los Cristianos itself.
- The Teide National Park. You can't miss a visit to this place that is home to Spain's highest peak. Be amazed by the lush vegetation that gradually gives way to a lunar landscape. Ah, we especially recommend a visit by night!
- The historic centre of Arona. The Spanish conquistadors who defeated the last Guanches landed in Los Cristianos. The municipality of Arona, which is divided up into various nuclei, has a special, traditional charm. But it also offers attractive trails and natural spots.
- The cliffs of Los Gigantes. Walls of basalt rock rise up to 600 metres above the Atlantic. We especially recommend you visit them from the sea so you can see the cetaceans that frequent these waters.
- Vilaflor, a mountain village. At an altitude of 1,500 metres, Vilaflor is an authentic mountain cattle-breeding village, set in the Teide Nature Reserve, offering a very different view: Tenerife inland.
- Hiking in the Barranco de Arico ravine. A paradise for climbing enthusiasts. Here you can see sportsmen and women who challenge the risk on extremely difficult routes.
- El Médano is a very windy village and therefore a mecca for kite surfers. Furthermore, El Médano is in an unspoilt and wild area, with stunning beaches or ascents to magical places such as the Montaña Roja (Red Mountain).
